Melissa is deeply invested in the the spiritual wellness of humanity. She has spent the last twenty years writing about it, talking about it, studying it and practicing it. She believes that attention to spiritual care is the overlooked piece in achieving wellness and living a satisfying life.

Melissa has been a private school educator, hospice chaplain, hospital chaplain, and Congregational minister. She holds an M.Ed. from UVM and an M.A. from the Fordham School of Religion.

She is the founder of SAM, using technology to solve the problem of lack of spiritual support in our senior years. She hosts Soul Circles throughout the northeast, is writing The Little Book of Living and Dying and Life as a Small Medium, and runs an adaptive sports program for kids.
